Bio

Kayla Weckesser is an attorney on the firm’s Chemistry & Life Sciences team.

Kayla focuses her practice on patent prosecution, portfolio management, and client counseling in the fields of chemical and pharmaceutical technologies.

During law school, Kayla worked as a Law Clerk at the firm.

Prior Experience

Kayla spent a summer during law school as a law clerk for the United States International Trade Commission (USITC), Office of Unfair Import Investigations (OUII) where she drafted an institutional memorandum at the start of an investigation and performed legal research on topics such as trade secrets and copyright infringement.

Prior to law school, Kayla spent two summers as a Patent Professional Intern at International Business Machines (IBM) where she helped with patent prosecution matters, such as drafting numerous original U.S. Patent Applications on software inventions and preparing responses to Office Actions.
